HOME VIDEO SAGA 4K UHD edition

One saga, 50 years of physical media.

Built from a collection spanning 50 years of physical Star Wars editions from around the world, HOME VIDEO SAGA retraces the history of formats, follows how picture and sound evolved in our living rooms, and revisits this saga from one format to the next.

Memories, collections, moments shared…

Because nothing will ever replace the feeling of owning, discovering and rewatching certain films until they wear out.

The alert just before the campaign opens, plus a few behind-the-scenes updates until then. Nothing more.

It all started in 1982

My grandfather takes me to the cinema for the first time to see a film picked at random: The Empire Strikes Back.

I'm eight years old. I'm spellbound. Without knowing it, he has just chosen the film that would set everything in motion.

Forty-three years later, that moment has never left me.

From that first film grew a passion that never left me: reels, tapes, discs, the ritual of playing a film at home. That's what led me to HOME VIDEO SAGA.

To tell you this story, I'm taking you to…

2138

Five years of global blackout, then the power comes back. No more broadcasting: films survived only on their physical media, scattered and forgotten. In an archive center devoted to Star Wars, an instructor droid passes on to a young unit why these objects mattered.

A handmade film.

Live action and 3D imagery, carried by an original score composed for the film.

Without any artificial intelligence.

Finished in HDR and immersive sound. In French and English.

Four editions to collect.

The project will be released as one digital edition and four physical 4K UHD editions, designed as true collector's objects. Inside you'll find a making-of detailing every step, trailers, concept art, easter eggs, collector items, an exclusive book written by Patrice Girod and Antoine Bardet, and plenty of surprises.
